Crag Summary
This crag was only a stone’s throw away from Ancient Corinth and easy access – so despite a shaky weather forecast we figured it was worth a visit. You park amongst olive trees and make a short walk up to the very visible rock.
We went to the far right for some kid-friendly easy climbs which proved very successful, especially because they start nice and gentle – building up their confidence. The rain kicked in before we could explore more on the left hand side but looked like some well-bolted fun lines to be had.

Nearby
The Ancient Corinth archaeological site is very nearby. It has an impressive Temple of Apollo (especially when lit up at night) and you have almost complete free reign to explore the ruins and imagine it in its heyday.
When our climbing got rained out we paid the Corinth canal a visit, viewing it from the Old Isthmus Bridge – and whilst perhaps not a must-see in itself, it is an impressive sight. The idea was first originated in the 7th century BC, not completed until 1893 and ultimately has proved challenging to operate ever since!
Our next crag was at Mount Didyma and on the way we maxed out on ancient history visiting the impressively giant Ancient Theatre at the Asklepieion of Epidaurus (sadly visitors are not allowed to sing/play music – but you can get a sense of the acoustics by standing in the centre and clapping) and the underwater ruins of a Roman Villa which was a super fun outing and worth braving the cool water.
Wow Factor
Views out to the ancient Acropolis, on a clear day this would probably be even more impressive.
Approach
Short and not too steep 5 minutes – always feels easier when you can see the rock from the parking too!
Shade
Morning sun and shade in the early afternoon. Not much in the way of shade at the base.
Playtime Base
Rocky but safe with little areas to set-up a picnic base.
Harder Climbs
Lots of 5s, 6s and a few 7s. So lots of options in the mid-range.
Kiddy Climbs
Lots of 5s and a few 4s – many of the climbs start with a gentle incline/scramble so great for the kids.
