Tivat

Crag Summary
This in one of a very few entries where we could advise giving it a miss! We had just entered Montenegro from Bosnia and I was kinda desperate for a crag day after our Blagaj climbing got cut short by rain… this micro-crag is at the end of a residential cul-de-sac, has just a few short routes and approximately one million hungry cats. Given our rather large vehicle we felt like a total nuisance as well.
Having now visited, our advice would be – enjoy the local area: Kotor old town and the bay of Kotor is beautiful. If you’re up for hard climbs with a short but committing approach (overall this would be one for older kids as the terrain is steep) check out ‘Skaljari’. If (like us) you are looking for something a bit more ‘chill’ you won’t really get it at Tivat, so just enjoy everything else the area has to offer and wait until you get to one of the other spots.
